After my first year of growing golden ghost peppers, I still had about 60 ghost peppers left over. I had previously made a batch of pumpkin hot sauce, but I decided to go for a more tropical taste with this batch.
There's pumpkin flavored everything during fall in New England. Pumpkin beer, pumpkin spiced lattes and coffee, so why not pumpkin hot sauce? When making most hot sauces I like to pair peppers up with some fruit or vegetable, so it was a no brainer to try use pumpkin.
