Homemade Sriracha Recipe

Sriracha hot sauces have probably been paired with every single food ever! Some certainly better than others, but I recommend pairing it with most types of meat, soups, or eggs. But let your mind and taste buds explore! 


This is an easy afternoon homemade Sriracha recipe that you should try if you've never made hot sauce before.


1 pound of Red Serrano Peppers

¼ Cup of Chopped Onion

2 Thai Chili Peppers

2 Garlic Clovers

1 teaspoon of salt

¼  Cup of Vinegar

1 Teaspoon Olive Oil


  1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet and sauté the carrots, onions, and garlic until translucent, about 5 minutes, then let cool completely.
  2. Transfer mixture to a blender, add the peppers and blend until smooth, gradually adding vinegar until you reach desired consistency.
  3. Strain and then pour into a clean jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for at least to 1 month.
